Thermal Behavior Prediction of Sludge Co-Combustion with Coal: Curve Extraction and Artificial Neural Networks

Previous studies on the co-combustion of sludge and coal have not effectively utilized characteristics combustion process to predict thermal behavior. Therefore, focusing these is essential understanding predicting behavior during coal. In this paper, we use thermogravimetric analysis study at different temperatures (300–460 °C, 460–530 530–600 °C). Our findings reveal that ignition improves, but worsens with more sludge. Then, further employ curve extraction based temperature image segmentation extract DTG (weight loss rate) curves. We successfully predicted curves for blends using nonlinear regression extraction, achieving an excellent R2 99.7%. Moreover, method predicts better than artificial neural networks two samples in terms (99.7% vs. 99.1% 99.7% 94.9%), which guides application co-combusting
